Impressive run for Chantimelle - 22.6.06

Chantimelle is enjoying a good run in the GFA First Division. With four (4) wins after four (4) matches. Their latest victory was recorded yesterday playing away to Cablevision St. Andrew's Football League. Two (2) first half goals from Terry Frame and Jess Fergusson led Chantimelle back into the change rooms leading SAFL 2-0 at the half. SAFL fought back hard in the second half, however their hopes were dashed when Frame again added a second goal sealing the victory. Coach of Chantimelle, Brian Blackman was quite happy with the performance. “We have to continue with this attitude, our aim is to get to the Premier Division and we are working towards that” said a jubilant Blackman. This also means that SAFL have lost two (2) of their three (3) matches played thus far.

In another match played yesterday, a goal each from Micah Stephen, Ottis St. Clair and Dwayne Jerome brought joy to the South Stars fans as they defeated St. Paul 's 3-0 at Queens Park. South Stars now have won two (2) out of the four matches they have played, while St. Paul 's have only secured one (1) point from as many as three (3) matches.

Today, Trade Centre Honved will be at home to St. John's Sports at Morne Rouge Playing Field. Caribbean Agro Belle Vue Rangers will seek to gain maximum points when they take on the skillful Ball Dogs at Belle Vue and FUTGOF and Willis Youths will battle over at Queens Park.
